Freehold Area Health Department Tick-borne Diseases Program is presently engaged in a number of research projects concerning the control of vector tick populations including: 
- Current Project 1: Integrated Use of Rodent Bait Boxes, 4-Poster Topical Treatment Devices, and Targeted Acaricide Applications to Rapidly Suppress Populations of Ixodes scapularis in a Residential Landscape
- Current Project 2: Effects of Sustained Reduction of While-tailed Deer on the Abundance of Ixodes scapularis (Acari: Ixodidae) in an Endemic Lyme Disease Area of New Jersey.
- Current Project 3: The Potential Role of Broad-scale Acaricide Applications in Integrated Programs to Control Ixodes scapularis.
