Recycling

The Recycling Center is open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday between 8 am - 3 pm.

Freehold Township's Recycling services are provided by the Department of Public Works. Freehold Township collects the following materials at curbside:

  • Glass bottles and jars
  • Aluminum, tin, and bi-metal cans
  • Number 1 and number 2 plastic pourable bottles
  • Cardboard (folded and tied no larger than 30 inches by 30 inches by 6 inches). No Pizza Boxes
  • Mixed Paper - includes letterhead, colored and white paper, junk mail, soft-covered books, newspaper, chipboard (e.g. - cereal boxes). Do not include paper soiled with food or newspaper used for pet waste or household projects.

Recyclables are collected every other week by recycling sector and should be placed at the curb by 6 am on the specified collection day (see the most updated recycling sectors). Material should be placed in hard-sided open containers no larger than 30 gallons and not in cardboard, brown paper or plastic bags.

Residents also have the option of bringing the recyclables listed above as well as many other items to the Township's Recycling Drop-Off Center on 66 Jackson Mills Road at the Department of Public Works facility.
