Recycling Drop-Off Center

Freehold Township operates a Recycling Drop-Off Center at the Department of Public Works facility on 66 Jackson Mills Road. It is available for Township residents only and proof of residency is required. Vehicles larger than a pickup truck, rack body truck, enclosed trailer and commercial vehicles will not be allowed access into the center for drop off. Although you do not need a permit to drop off recycling, brush or leaves, you will be required to show proof of residency.

Effective immediately, the recycling center will only be accepting electronics from Freehold Township residents. Electronics from out of Freehold Township can be dropped off at:
Monmouth County Reclamation Center (main entrance)
6000 Asbury Avenue (west of Shafto Road)
Tinton Falls, NJ 07724

Hours of Operation

The Recycling Drop Off Center will be open every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 8 am to 3 pm.

Effective immediately, there will be no evening hours.

Note: The recycling center may close for snow or other emergencies, in preparation of emergencies or at the discretion of the Township without notice.

The Recycling Center is run by the Department of Public Works.

2025 Holiday Closings

The Freehold Township Recycling Center will have special Holiday hours. The Center will be closed on:

  • Tuesday, November 11th, Veterans Day
  • Thursday, November 27th, Thanksgiving Day
  • Thursday, December 25th, Christmas Day
